Anhui's Outbound Investment Sees Growth in Jan-Jul Period

Anhui’s outbound investment continued steady growth in the first seven months of this year, official data showed.

Investors from the eastern Chinese province made $620 million of outbound investment from January to July, up 47 percent from the same period a year ago, according to the Bureau of Commerce of Anhui Province.

The province gave the nod to the establishment of 54 enterprises and organizations overseas in the Jan-Jul period.

The structure of outbound investment continued to improve, with 73 percent of the total capital in mining, manufacturing and building industries.

Investors in Hefei, Tongling and Wuhu made up 88 percent of the province’s total outbound investment. Hefei, capital of the province, accounted for 45 percent of the provincial total.

Local contractors signed more agreements for projects abroad in the first seven months. Fore example, agreements were reached for two manganese ore projects in India.
