Seven villages in East China’s Anhui province were included among China’s top 100 beautiful villages by an agricultural magazine.
Founded by the Ministry of Agriculture, the magazine selected 100 models from tens of thousands of villages across the country. The selection was based on criteria ranging from ecological environment to industrial function.
The magazine held a meeting on April 9 in Beijing in recognition of the villages.
Among the award-winning villages are Liuzhai village in Suzhou city, Xiaokeng village in Chizhou city, villages of Tiechong and Dongshanruan in Wuhu city and Longchuan village in Xuancheng city.
Chuzhou city’s Jianshan village and Bengbu city’s Yumiao village also won the honor.
