D-Train To Run On Hefei-Chengdu-Chongqing Line

From July 1, all the trains in China will run according to a new schedule, and D-trains will be deployed for the Hefei-Chengdu-Chongqing line.

Our reporter learned from Shanghai Railway Bureau that the bureau will put four D-trains in operation from Shanghai, Hangzhou and Nanjing to Chengdu and Chongqing according to the new schedule. All the trains will stop by Hefei. That means, from this July 1, passengers from Hefei can reach Chongqing or Chengdu in less than 10 hours or 12 hours by D-train. The tickets for these trains have already been on sale, with the second-class seat fare pricing at 451 yuan to Chengdu and 354.5 yuan to Chongqing.

In addition, after the re-scheduling, Hefei will see for the first time a through train coded K1561/K1562 running between the city and Nanning, and the running time is about 25 hours.
