On the afternoon of January 19, the provincial government information office hosted a press conference to announce the province’s economic operation in 2019.
According to preliminary calculation, the province’s total output value for the whole year was 3,711.4 billion yuan, up 7.5 percent over the previous year at comparable prices.
Among them, the added value of the primary industry was 291.57 billion yuan, up 3.2 percent. the added value of the secondary industry was 1,533.79 billion yuan, up 8 percent. The added value of the tertiary industry was 1,886.04 billion yuan, up 7.7 percent. The per capita GDP reached 58,496 yuan, equivalent to 8,480 US dollars.
Structure of grain planting was optimized. Grain production in Anhui witnessed “sixteenth straight year of harvest”. The annual grain output was 40.54 million tons, ranking fourth in the nation, up 1.2 percent.
Industrial production kept flourishing while emerging industries grew rapidly. Throughout the year, the added value of the industries above designated size increased by 7.3 percent, 1.6 percentage points higher than that of the whole nation, ranking 10th. Among them, the added value of mining industry increased by 1.6 percent, that of the manufacturing industry by 7.7 percent and that of the production and supply of electricity, heat, gas and water by 8 percent.
The service industry grew steadily and the modern service industry grew well. The service sector accounted for 50.8 percent of the province’s GDP, 9.5 percentage points higher than the secondary industry.
Investment in fixed assets grew steadily, and the number of new projects under construction began increasing instead of decreasing. Throughout the year, investment in fixed assets was increased by 9.2 percent, 3.8 percentage points higher than that of the whole nation, ranking 8th in the nation.
Consumption has maintained double-digit growth and the proportion of online retail sales has been increased either. The total retail sales of consumer goods throughout the year hit 133.77 billion yuan, up 10.6 percent, 2.6 percentage points higher than that in the whole nation, ranking second.
Imports and exports grew rapidly, while the utilization of foreign capital maintained growing.
The fiscal revenue for the whole year was 571 billion yuan, up 6.5 percent. Fiscal expenditure was 739.1 billion yuan, up 12.5 percent.
Throughout the year, the per capita disposable income of urban residents was 37,540 yuan, up 9.1 percent. The per capita disposable income of rural residents was 15,416 yuan, up 10.1 percent.
